Adorable, quick, & easy nutty apple rings for the wildlife.

I made these adorable, quick, & easy nutty apple rings for the wildlife in my yard. Why not treat the wildlife in your garden!? This quick winter craft is also a great way to encourage children to get outdoors, and to learn about the wildlife living in their garden too. Within minutes of me hanging these outside, a cute squirrel came to visit & enjoy a nibble. I made a very simple 4 step tutorial if you are interested in making these for yourself.
WHAT YO NEED:
Wild bird seed – I didn’t have bird seed but had raw, unsalted mixed nuts & used this instead.
Natural peanut butter
Apples
Twine or yarn
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1. Slice the apples into rings, remove the core and thread twine through the hole, tying to create a loop.
Step 2. Spread the lower half of the apple slices with peanut butter.
Step 3. Dunk into seeds so that it sticks to the peanut butter. Don’t be shy
Step 4. Hang them in your garden trees and watch the wildlife enjoy their winter treat!
